Is this working for anyone?

I know many people swear by adsense...but I don't actually know anyone who has benefitted from it at all. Does anyone else here know a real person who has had some benefit from adsense? Or any of the other so-called wonder programs out there? I'd really like to know.

What are the alternative options for Google adsense ?

Currently there is YPN (yahoo publishing network) but it is in Beta phase and is only available for US citizens. Other option is to use Adbrite ads

What to do when Google reject your appliations for adsense ?

Most likely google rejects your appliations for adsense for 2 reasons -

1. Your site or blog is absolutely useless. I have seen them being very lenient in accepting sites, so if you get rejected than really, it must he a awful website/blog. If you are really desperate, Do one thing, Make a blog at blogger and start creating sensible posts of 200-400 words about some topic, say mobiles or health. Set the posts timeline for the past, so that it looks like it's a older blog. Than reapply with new email ID.

What does CTR , CPC , CPM and eCPM means ?

These are the terms very frequently used while talking about adsense statistics.

CTR = Click Through Rate - 3% CTR means out of 100, 3 people have clicked on the ad

CPC = Cost Per Clik - $0.4 CPC means a click is worth 40 cents

CPM = Cost Per million = $2 per CPM means you will earn $2 when a ad will be shown 1000 times.

eCPM = estimated CPM - if a ad is shown 200 times and you earned 20 cents, so eCPM will be $1.00

Google has them self said that 336x280 format (ese below ad of same type) is the best converting adsense type which pays highest CTR. After that it can be leaderboard or square(250x250)
